Kenley have had a thriving juniors section for a number of years now with around 40/50 members ranging from 6-16 years of age. We are fortunate to have children from a number of the local junior and secondary schools. As well as training we arrange a number of fixtures against other clubs for the children at different age and ability levels.

 

The training is run in 2 groups split by age/ability and we progress players as soon as they are capable. Training is generally between 10:00 and 11:30  on Sunday mornings between September and March although this may move if we have a game, both games and training sessions take place at Warlingham High School’s astro pitch.

The season long training is covered by the annual subscription of £50 with a small £5 match fee being charged for each game played.

As well as the winter training sessions we run monthly taster sessions during the summer to keep everyone interested and to encourage more children to join.

Over the many years we have been running a junior section, we are very pleased to say that many of the former colts are now playing in our adults Saturday sides right from the 3rd XI through to the 1st XI on both the mens and womens sides.

As well as teaching the children the skills we aim to make the sessions fun with the occasional games against the parents to inject a bit of family rivalry. All Colts members are encouraged (and welcome) to attend social events that are suitable for them.
